He ever led the Institute of Computing Technology to successfully research Loongson CPU and presided the major IPv6 network projects and became the leader of contemporary information technology of China, and has attracted wide attention both at home and abroad.

A graduate from Tsinghua University, senior engineer, and supervisor of master degree candidates, director of high-performance computer standard working committee. The Secretary General of High-performance computing Professional Committee. He was repositioned to Chinese Academy of Science in1995, and later to Dawning Company in 1996.Since then, he has been in charge of R&D at Dawning. He has successively presided to develop several classic models, built up a wide range of Dawning series of products. He has been awarded quite a few state honors. In 2001, he became the president of Dawning. Under his powerful leadership, Step by step, Dawning has risen to be the No1 brand of home-made servers. He has won a good many of exalted titles, including the ¡°2003`Chinese IT Fortune Persons¡± ,the ¡°2004`Chinese Business MVP Golden Prize¡±, "Top 10 new generation of most valuable entrepreneur", and the ¡°2004`Top Ten Band Builders¡±, ¡°2004 China IT Person of the Year" and "2005 China IT Person of the Year","2005 outstanding entrepreneur", "excellent professional manager of China's information industry." ," 2006 China IT Person of the Year " and "2007 Global Youth Leader," etc.
